Lacus: Trusted authority figure/friend
Shinn: Angriest kōhai; also, possible liability, given past actions??? He's giving him a chance though. It'd be pretty hypocritical for him not to.
Godzilla: Godzilla joining the team has given Dearka a lot to think about. He respects the unique perspective the big guy brings to the team as someone so distinctly non-human, and he WANTS to be able to trust Godzilla as an ally. Unfortunately, his poor anger management skills and tendency towards violent retaliation have left him a little unsure about that stance.
Elan: Friend and guy he can confide in. Their relationship is a little odd because Dearka is sort of projecting onto Elan somewhat, due to shared superficial similarities in their personalities. He kind of wants to vouch for and protect him because of this; he sees a lot of himself in his red coat days in Elan's attitude and snark.
Lucy/Kaede: A buddy. Someone he can joke around with. Also someone he's willing to protect.
Bakugo: The other angriest kōhai. Pupil in the ways of Gundam piloting.
Ishmael: Extremely cool chick. Seems like a badass, although he knows now that she's had a pretty fuckin' rough go of things. He likes a girl who's mean to him but still tolerates his presence and is willing to joke around w/ him. Dearka has a very small crush on her. She was also the person who told him to try horse shampoo as a cheap alternative hair care product when he first arrived.
Ratio: very taciturn and unfriendly, but seems reasonably sane unlike the vast majority of outsiders. Something about his stoic attitude makes Dearka really want to get a rise out of him.
Aventurine: Seems like an alright (if a little bit sketchy) guy? Had a weird moment on first meeting but then they played cards so it's. probably fine.
Hunter: Little guy takes soldiering way too seriously.
